Fluorosilicone rubber introduces
trifluoropropyl groups into its side chains, combining the
temperature-resistant elasticity of silicone rubber with the oil
resistance of fluororubber. It can withstand erosion from non-polar
media such as aviation kerosene and hydraulic fluid over long periods
within a range of -60°C to 200°C, with minimal compression set. Thanks
to this unique advantage, it is widely used in aviation fuel line seals,
automotive turbocharger hoses, and chemical valve gaskets, serving as a
core elastomer in fuel system sealing applications.
