Methyl phenyl vinyl silicone rubber has recently made significant application breakthroughs in the aerospace and high-end electronics sectors. This specialty silicone rubber, modified through the introduction of phenyl and vinyl functional groups, significantly enhances its low-temperature resistance and radiation resistance while maintaining the excellent thermal stability of traditional silicone rubber.
Research data shows that the material maintains good elasticity even at extremely low temperatures of -100℃, with its low-temperature embrittlement point approximately 40℃ lower than conventional silicone rubber. Meanwhile, its radiation resistance reaches 1×10⁷ Gy, far exceeding the tolerance limits of ordinary silicone rubber. In terms of mechanical properties, the material achieves tensile strength of 8.5-10.5 MPa, retaining over 80% of its original performance after 168 hours of aging at 250℃.
In the aerospace sector, the material has become critical for deep space probe sealing systems. Measurement data indicates it maintains perfect sealing performance in extreme temperature alternating environments ranging from -120℃ to 150℃. With the rapid development of emerging technologies such as 5G communication and the Internet of Things, the application prospects for methyl phenyl vinyl silicone rubber in the high-end electronics field are becoming even broader.
