Fluorosilicone Rubber Makes New Strides in EV Sealing Systems

Hits: 304 img

As the electric vehicle (EV) industry advances rapidly, power battery packs and high-voltage control systems demand sealing materials with extreme temperature resistance, electrical insulation, and chemical stability. Fluorosilicone rubber, with its -60°C to +200°C service range and excellent oil resistance, is becoming the preferred choice for EV sealing components.

In applications such as battery enclosure gaskets, onboard charging connectors, and electronic module protection, fluorosilicone rubber offers superior durability and dimensional stability. Compared with EPDM or HNBR, it provides lower compression set and longer service life, making it ideal for complex geometries and long-duration systems.

Beyond that, fluorosilicone rubber is widely used in EV thermal management seals, coolant hose linings, and high-voltage cable jackets. Its resistance to coolant fluids, electrolytes, and various chemicals ensures safe operation in critical components, improving the long-term reliability of electric vehicles.
