silicone rubber introduces phenyl groups into its molecular chain,
disrupting structural regularity and significantly lowering the
crystallization temperature. This enables it to remain flexible and
elastic in extreme cold below -100°C, while also offering excellent
radiation and ablation resistance. Relying on these characteristics, it
is widely used in spacecraft low-temperature seals, gaskets for polar
expedition equipment, and protective layers for nuclear devices, serving
as a core material in extreme cold and radiation environments.
