Hydrogen-containing
silicone oil contains highly reactive silicon-hydrogen bonds (Si-H) in
its molecular structure, which can undergo addition reactions with
compounds containing unsaturated bonds (such as alkenes and alkynes)
under the action of a catalyst. This unique chemical property makes it a
key intermediate for modifying silicone materials. It is widely used in
fabric waterproofing finishes, leather smoothness agents, and as a
crosslinker for producing various specialty silicone oils, imparting
entirely new surface properties and functions to materials.
