In
chemical production and oil extraction, sealing materials are frequently
subjected to the erosion of strong acids, alkalis, and various organic
solvents. While ordinary silicone oils often swell or degrade in these
media, Fluorosilicone Oil (FSO) builds an impregnable defense line with
its superior chemical inertness.
The
fluorine atoms in the FSO molecule possess strong electronegativity,
forming a dense protective layer that grants it exceptional resistance
against mineral oils, fuel oils, acids, and solvents. It is not only
heat-resistant but also highly resistant to oils and solvents, with
extremely low surface tension that allows it to spread easily on complex
surfaces. Consequently, fluorosilicone oil is widely used as a
specialty lubricant and release agent in extreme environments, as well
as a filling medium for chemical pipeline seals. In the aerospace
sector, it is an indispensable "fluid" for rocket engines and fuel
systems, ensuring stable operation even when in contact with high-energy
fuels.
